3 Golf Club Ratings Facts - What They Reveal About Your Game

Like everything else, the world of golfing has seen many many new accessories and an equal number of reviews to go with them. But if you start reading through every club review one by one you will end up spending more time reading than playing the game. Rather than go through all that reading material you may be better off comparing the ratings that clubs have given to the products in question. The club reviews themselves would have a ratings section, where you can see which club is better rated at what aspect, and this can quickly help you decide on the right one for your game. This can help you narrow your list down to a few clubs which you could check out individually to get to the best one.

1. Ratings do tell a story

Accepted that the choice of what club you want to join is more of a personal matter than anything else, but that does not mean you overlook the ratings altogether. Without talking about the kind of game that you play, a better rated club will definitely give you a better service than a poorly rated one, it's simply that way. It is true that nothing can help you more than practice and dedication, but a good club can ease you along the way to becoming a better player. When you have full faith in your equipment so that they can take a blow for you every now and then if you mess up the shot, you will have that much more chances of succeeding every time you take to the course. So do not over look club ratings next time you come across some.

2. Ever wondered what a rating comes down to?

Well, there is no governing body at least officially that dictates terms on how golf clubs can be rated. But most of the feedbacks you will encounter in newsletters and on the web generally have a similar methodology. It generally is split into playability, the distance from wherever and a overall service and final rating. The ratings could be numerical or alphabetical, it makes little difference. Keeping track of a few ratings over the months will help you judge how well a club is serving its members.

3. Take a look at all options

Check out all that a club has to offer when you are deciding on one, and also keep track of your allotted budget for the game. It is obvious that the top rated clubs would be the most expensive while some of the cheaper ones may not give you the service you expect. If you are the kind of player who has the strength to play distance shots but lack a bit of control, then you could get a club suited to such players So there's a club for every kind of shot, and while ratings do help you a lot, it is mostly a question of what you personally want out of the club that should be the final deciding factor.
